Overview
Kronen KDB 120 Dipping Bath – Efficient Post-Treatment for Fresh Produce
CBS Foodtech is proud to offer the Kronen KDB 120 Dipping Bath—a resource-saving solution for the post-treatment of peeled or cut fruit and vegetables. Designed for modern food processing operations, the KDB 120 helps Australian producers extend shelf life and maintain product quality by efficiently reducing the germ load on product surfaces.
How it works:
Cut or peeled produce is loaded into the feeding hopper and transported through a water-filled dipping bath, mixed with minimal amounts of sanitising additives such as Nature Seal®, CITROCIDE® PLUS, or powder dissolved in water. Overhead spraying ensures even floating products receive full coverage, and an optional pre-drying blower at the discharge point further prepares products for packing or downstream processing.
Economical and adjustable:
The KDB 120 is engineered to use the least possible water—just 24 litres is enough for operation—saving costs and reducing environmental impact. The system features infinitely adjustable filling quantities and retention times, so you can fine-tune the process for any batch size or product type, with guaranteed retention of 30 to 120 seconds for effective treatment.
Productivity and flexibility:
-
Processes up to 750 kg per hour (for example, apple slices with a 30-second retention time)
-
Suitable for a variety of fruit and vegetable products, in different shapes and sizes
-
Adaptable to automated lines with optional conveyor and blower for efficient product handling
-
Open, gentle design ensures careful treatment and makes cleaning quick and simple
